McKinley Presidential Museum
Quite by accident, I discovered that President William McKinley has a Presidential Museum/Library and his mausoleum in Canton, Ohio. My dad is a Civil War buff and so I treated him to a day at this historical spot since McKinley was the last Civil War soldier to serve as President. And like his hero, Abraham Lincoln, he was felled by an assassin's bullet. The two of us didn't know what to expect but we both enjoyed ourselves.
One quick note, I am starting this photo blog post with those things related to McKinley inside the museum. The site has other areas as well. Those I found interesting will come in later posts. If you visit, it is cheap. Only ten dollars for adults to enter. I'd say skip the Planetarium which we both found disappointing and super low tech to a degree that was amazing.
Here are photos from the McKinley gallery of the museum. Mostly of the President's possessions and White House belongings.
