Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
In the Hollywood spirit of never letting a franchise die a natural death, cinemas are showing Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. I took my dad who wanted to see it though we both pretty well knew what would be happening in the movie.
If you see this movie you have to understand it is predictable from start to finish. You go see this one for its mindless escapism which it pulls off fairly well. The dinosaurs are there and the movie is basically one chase scene after the next. Order popcorn like we did and sit back, not thinking about anything at all.
The acting was adequate. Chris Pratt and Bryce Howard were alright. The script gave them little depth but none was required. The real cast standouts were Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda. They audience enjoyed their performances and wished there was more screen time for them. The script was shallow so no one had depth. The ending did leave room for yet another one of these films since dinosaurs were left to wander the modern world.
This is a good matinee type movie. Not sure I would pay full price for it. With that in mind I give it a 4 of 5 on the rating scale.
