Paul: Apostle Of Christ
It is Holy Week with both Passover and Easter going on, and so it seems like a good time to do a quick review of Paul: Apostle Of Christ which I saw today.
I saw 'quick review' because everything boiled down to one element in this movie: SCRIPT! This is one of the most wordy scripts I have seen in ages. There were so many places where action could've been placed in the script, and if they had done so, this probably would've been a 5-star movie. Instead, this film almost talks you to death. And I never did get that ending.
The acting and production aspects of this film are well-done. The script: total fail. For that reason, I give it a 2.5/5. I'd wait for the DVD instead of plunking down the ticket price at the cinema. There are better Holy Week movies out there starting with the classic, Ten Commandments; Ben Hur; or The Passion Of The Christ.
